The Oxford Hotel Bend is a downtown gem. It not only offers modern rooms and luxurious amenities but also top-notch services (including valet parking!). Most guests who stay here love the in-room French press coffee and the pillow menu.

The Hampton Inn & Suites Bend is your perfect base camp. This is so because it is located near shops, restaurants, and the riverfront. This hotel offers spacious and clean rooms with modern amenities. The nearest places you can visit are the Hayden Homes Amphitheater and the Old Mill District.

The Wall Street Suites in Bend, Oregon, isn’t your ordinary hotel. It’s a chic, rustic haven right across from Pioneer Park. The Deschutes River is also nearby. However, the best part about this place is that they’re super dog-friendly – they even have an on-site park where your furry friend can frolic. The suites themselves are amazing and have really good walk in showers and fully equipped kitchens.

LOGE Bend is an adventure hub. Steps from trails, this pet-friendly hotel offers unique rooms (think hammocks!) and mountain activities. This is an amazing hotel to refuel after exploring. They have a sauna and pool. You can also rent a bike and keep the fun going. It is perfect for families, too.

During my time in Bend, this laid-back river ride became my go-to activity. Planning on doing something with friends or craving a bit of sunshine? Plan a day out at Deschutes float. Renting tubes from Tumalo Creek was a breeze – friendly staff, easy instructions, and prices that won’t break the bank. Trust me, it’s the perfect way to spend a relaxing afternoon on the water.
2. Deschutes Trail
There’s a reason the Deschutes River Trail is my Bend, Oregon obsession. This path practically hugs the water, giving you these incredible panoramic views. It’s always buzzing with life – walkers, bikers, joggers, everyone soaking up the sunshine before the day dips.

Located right by the river, the amphitheater is hard to miss. You can hear the music pumping from downtown. Nothing is more amazing than grabbing some drinks with friends and belting out your favorite tunes under the stars.

Let’s be honest: museums can be a snoozefest sometimes. I’ve definitely paid admission fees and left feeling ripped off. But the High Desert Museum is a totally different story. In fact, it’s one of the coolest museums I’ve ever been to. It’s definitely a must-do for families visiting Bend.
Opened in 1982, this sprawling 135-acre museum is both indoor and outdoor. It showcases the rich history and culture of Oregon’s high desert. They’ve got fascinating exhibits on everything. It’s an amazing place to educate yourself on topics like the struggles of Native Americans and the challenges of pioneering the Oregon Trail.
